La Galera is a premium cigar brand born from the heart of the Dominican Republic and shaped by generations of tobacco-growing tradition.
Created by José “Jochy” Blanco, La Galera reflects the heritage of the Blanco family and the craftsmanship of Tabacalera Palma, a historic Dominican cigar factory whose roots date back to 1936.
The name “La Galera” refers to the rolling room inside a cigar factory — the place where skilled artisans transform carefully selected tobacco leaves into finished cigars by hand.
From tobacco cultivation in the fertile Cibao Valley to fermentation, aging, blending, rolling, and resting, every stage reflects a commitment to consistency, craftsmanship, and Dominican cigar-making tradition.
